ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATORY & COMPLIANCE
EH&S COMPLIANCE
LG2ES’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance audits assess a facility’s compliance with applicable national, state, and local regulations. The environmental component of our audits typically evaluates solid and hazardous waste management/ disposal activities, wastewater generation and discharge, storm water discharge, air sources and emissions, oil and chemical storage, and emergency planning, depending on the Client’s scope and specific facility type. LG2ES assesses current operating practices, determines applicable regulatory requirements, evaluates compliance with existing permits, and identifies areas of noncompliance with these major environmental regulations, among others:
- Clean Air Act
- Resource Conservation and Recovery Act/Hazardous and Solid Waste Amendments
- Clean Water Act
- Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (Section 103)
- Toxic Substance Control Act
- Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act
- Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act
- Safe Drinking Water Act
The H&S component of our audits activities and conditions that could be construed as non-compliant with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations outlined in 29 CFR 1910. Our H&S audits typically assess compliance with these categories:
- Chemical Hazard Communication/Chemical Exposures to Contaminants
- Confined-Space Entry
- Machine Guarding
- Hearing Conservation/ Personal Protective Equipment
- Walking/Working Surfaces
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Injury/Illness Record- Keeping
- Flammable/Combustible Liquids
- Emergency Action and Response
- Powered Industrial Trucks
- Material Handling, Cranes, and Hoists
- Respiratory Protection/ Ventilation
- Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout)
- Hand and Portable Tools/ Hand- Held Equipment
- Electrical (exposed
We emphasize working proactively to identify potential violations of regulations, permits, and plans; then we work to correct their underlying causes.
ENVIRONMENTAL SITE ASSESSMENTS
PROTECTIVE. RESPONSIVE. COMPREHENSIVE. EXPERIENCED.
These words describe what our Clients expect when LG2ES is called upon to perform environmental due diligence for property transfers and corporate purchases. LG2ES conducts Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) to determine the environmental condition of a property and identify risks that may have a material environmental impact on the business associated with a property’s current or planned use.
PHASE I ESA SERVICES
The need for a Phase I ESA may arise from Clients pursuing Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act liability protection as an innocent landowner, a bona fide prospective purchaser, or a contiguous property owner.

UST/AST REMEDIAL SERVICES
LG2ES has significant experience in managing the assessment, design, and remediation for contaminated sites, including those where the source of contamination is a UST/AST system. This experience has allowed our staff to successfully execute all phases of UST/AST site investigation and remediation management, including initial site characterization, environmental assessment, development of corrective action plans, design of remediation systems, installation and maintenance of remediation equipment, and preparation of monitoring reports and site-specific standard requests. In addition, LG2ES has extensive experience in writing permit applications, negotiating with regulators for air and water permits, often required for remediation systems. LG2ES has successfully managed many UST and AST sites from assessment to closure using a combination of innovative investigative tools (i.e., soil gas, membrane interface probes) which is key to site characterization and successful site remediation.
