Introducing Kristina Witter, Senior Biologist Project Manager
Ms. Witter is a Wildlife Biologist with 13 years of experience in endangered species monitoring, natural resources management, conservation education and outreach, habitat assessments, and environmental regulatory compliance. Ms. Witter is recognized as a subject matter expert on endangered Red-cockaded woodpecker (RCW) ecology and habitat. She has independently planned and conducted large-scale population demographic monitoring and management activities including reproductive behavioral monitoring, banding, trapping and relocation on private, military and federal lands. She had banded over 1500 nestling and adult RCWs and facilitated the capture and translocation of over 150 RCWs for both impact mitigation and species range recovery. Ms. Witter has planned, executed and lead teams in large-scale RCW surveys of thousands of acres of military land. In addition, Ms. Witter has participated in RCW reintroduction into the ACE Basin and development of projects for new translocation donor properties.
During the course of her career, she has developed successful working relationships with colleagues, land owners, contractors, USACE reps, military personnel and various government agency officials to ensure successful completion of contract deliverables and to facilitate natural resource goals and project objectives, often in the face of adversity and while operating within the constraints of active military ranges, fire management and timbering operations.
We are pleased to welcome her aboard and are confident her experience, expertise, and outstanding work ethic will be great additions to our amazing team!
